Ever wondered why businesses use email marketing to inform consumers of their product or service? Simply put, it’s because it works but only if you the consumer has opted in to receive the information. In other words if the consumer is genuinely interested in hearing about your new line of products or your latest offer or even a forthcoming change in your services that people would find really helpful
I personally knows opt in email marketing works because myself and many of my family and friends regularly buy health products and fashion from companies who send us gentle reminders by email of their latest offers. The emails are always eye catching, this is something you need to do when contracting your emails, so it’s vitally important you use an email marketing service provider that makes it easy for you to construct great looking emails without having to be a techie!
I’m sure you are wondering how best to get people on to your opt in email list in the first place? The best way in my opinion is to come up with a great offer and summarise it in a couple of sentences then put that wording about the webform as near the top right hand side of the home page of your website. If you don’t quite follow what I mean here watch out shortly for a quick video on this topic because I appreciate that seeing it visually is much easier to follow what I mean. When people enter their name and email into the webform they have opted in to hear from you by email, you must also ensure you reassure them that their details are safe within GDPR rules, I’ll cover this in the video too.
So what Email marketing provider would I recommend for you. Over the years I’ve tried three in total and by far I find Mailchimp to be the most suitable for my needs. It does take a bit of time “getting your head round” the platform but that’s the same with other providers too. At this stage in this blog I feel the best advice I can give you is watch out for a separate video blog on Mailchimp and I’ll show you inside their “control panel”. I’ve grown to love it and I’m sure you’ll find it helps you grow and expand your email marketing list of ready to buy customers.
